1500. Introduction to Becoming a Teacher First Year Experience Course TELS. This course will focus on practical and academic preparation to enter the teaching profession, social and emotional wellness and academic support. Students will have an opportunity to explore the teaching profession. This course will examine various facets of preparing to teach in a diverse, 21st century classroom. The First Year Experience course will also teach first year students how to make informed decisions and successfully function in the university setting. 3 s.h.
