Description:
This course provides an in-depth examination of the library research process and the tools necessary to be an effective researcher at the graduate level. Students will understand the evolving nature of information in the digital age. Emphasis will be on developing a viable research question, effective use of academic library systems, understanding traditional scholarly resourses, and how to evaluate the scholarly nature of Internet resources. Students will be alble to find relevant resources related to their research question, evaluate specific resources, and use the information in an ethical manner by citing resources properly. Students will be able to apply these concepts in all coursework in the graduate program. 1 credit This asynchronous 7 week course will be delivered online via Bb Vista
