This course focuses on "aesthetic" reading of selected works of children's literature and suggests techniques for organizing a classroom that supports this approach. Strategies for collaborative learning, literature cirlces and celebrating students authorship are shared and examined by the participants through course readings, small groups discussions and short research papers Prerequisite: A graduate level children's literature course taken within the last 10 years.
