To help all students meet with success in school, educators must create a balance between meeting the needs of the entire class and meeting the needs of individual students. This course provides techniques for creating eduational environments where all students, paricularly those with special learning needs, have equal opportunity to develop academically as well as socially. This course will focus on structuring the classroom to promote literacy through formal and informal assessment, connecting assessment to curriculum, and adapting curriculum to meet students' strengths and needs using developmentally appropariate practices.
