Description:
This course combines philosophical perspectives with pragmatic considerations to help leaders grow and sustain organizational cultures which are sensitive and responsive to ethical considerations, growing diversity and shifting public expectations about corporate social responsibility. Students develop and test their points of view through lectures, case discussions, independent inquiry and guest presenters. Topical areas include creating multicultural organizations, establishing ethical and moral business practices, dealing with conflicts of values and belief systems, and determining the organization's social responsibility. Legal responsibilities and conflicts of interest are also discussed.
