The purpose of this course is to impart the theories, concepts and, more important, the practical applications necessary for leaders to guide individuals, work units and organizations to the achievements of goals. In broad terms, successful leaders need to be able to 1) facilitate the growth and productivity of individuals, work groups and/or teams; and 2) create, recognize and act upon opportunities consistent with the vision, mission and goals of their respective organizations. 3 credits
