Description:
Examines the components, function and use of imaging equipment to perform diagnostic radiographic, mobile, fluoroscopic, tomographic and computed tomography procedures. Studies radiation protection and radiographic exposure factors including automatic exposure control. Discusses common special radiographic procedures and associated image critique. In lab, radiographic imaging procedures and the resultant image evaluation criteria of the skull, spine and trauma patient are emphasized. Simulated lab experiences are planned to provide the student opportunities to apply principles and skills learned.
