Introduces the student to radiologic technology. Discusses the roles of medical imagers and the images they produce. Radiation protection of technologists, patients and others is discussed. Medical terminology is introduced and applied. In lab, radiographic imaging procedures and the resultant image evaluation criteria of the chest, abdomen and urinary system are emphasized. Simulated lab experiences are planned to provide the student opportunities to apply principles and skills learned.
