This course focuses on the adult with physical and/or mental health needs. The Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) concepts of patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, teamwork and collaboration, quality improvement, safety and informatics are reinforced. College laboratory and clinical laboratory experiences are planned to provide opportunities for the student to analyze and apply these concepts to situations within a healthcare environment.
