This course will examine performing arts presenting and touring operations including for-profit and nonprofit entities including: theatres, dance ensembles, classical music, and opera. Prerequisites: SAEM/COPA Major. Course Objectives Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: (1) Apply basic marketing skills including research, segmentation, and strategic development to digital assets in sports, arts, and entertainment business.. (2) Understand, evaluate and implement conclusions from current internet marketing research. (3) Demonstrate a basic knowledge of digitial marketing and apply it to SAEM. (4) Apply best practices in team building and building client relationships to effecively communicating a digital marketing plan. (5) Develop a professional sense of ethical decision making and problem solving in marketing and its related areas.
