The course examines social work practice theories and concepts for administration, management, and supervision. Particular emphasis is placed on duties and responsibilities of social work administrators as they pertain to political, economic, and bureaucratic realities that restrict delivery of needed services to client systems and to workers' mission as agents for change. Provides a framework for action for the worker/supervisor/administrator as a "change agent" in the social welfare system. Content on management in not-for-profit settings is addressed.Prerequisites: Second year status.Credit, three hours.
