This course is designed to develop pre-service teachers' awareness of science and technology as human enterprises that take place in a social, enviornment, and historical context. This interdisciplinary approach helps them understand two core ideas guided by the Next Generation Science Standards: (1) the interdependence of scirnce, engineering and technology and (2) the influence of science, engineering, and technology on society and the natural world.
