A study of the activities and assessments used in teaching mathematics at the secodary level. Students explore, evaluate and design activities in the content areas of number and quality, algebra, functions, modeling, geometry, statistics and probability. Content aligned with national and state standards with emphasis on equity and technology. This course should be taken the semester before MTSC 403 Methods of Teching Secondary Mathematics. Prerequisites: Admission into the Teacher Education Program (TEP), MTSC 252 and MTSC 203 with a "C" or better, and consent from the instructor.
