As many businesses are adopting ERP Systems, understanding master data management in the ERP systems becomes more important to utilize companies' data efficiently. The master data is data shared across ERP systems in the enterprise, thus it is critical to manage the master data properly in order to run the ERP systems effectively and efficiently for the business success. This course is intended to provide students with the knowledge and understanding of 1) product master data, customer master data, analytical master data, vendor master data, and/or employee master data, 2) the processes and technology to produce and maintain a single clean copy of master data, 3) an Application for creating and maintaining an authoritative view of master data including policies and procedures for access, update, modification, viewing between systems across the enterprise. The class will meet in a comuter lab, and rovide hands-on experience on the master data management through SAP application. By learning the configuration and management of the system's various master data, students will earn the depth of master data management.
