An introduction of both theory and applications in signals and systems with applications drawn from communications, automatic control, filtering, audio and image processing. Discrete and continuous time signals and systems, sampling, convolution, Fourier series and transforms, converison between analog and signals, modulation, Laplace and Z-transforms. Three lectures and one two-laboratory period per week. Prerequisite: MTSC 352. Credits, four hours.
