The course is focused on the areas of program planning, project development, and budgeting for special education programs and services using federal, state, and local funding sources, faculty and staff development in-service programs, program evaluation, and supervision of special education and related service personnel. Additional topics addressed in the course are the relationships among special educators, general educators, and vocational educators in transition and program planning, working with families and advocates, and inter-agency collaboration and cooperation in meeting the exceptional needs of individuals with disabilities.Credit, three hours.
