The course draws focuses on the identification of issues in art education at various curricular levels; examination of related research with possible implications for practice and for purposes of study and discussion. Emphasis will be upon a selection of readings of the past two (2) decades that deepens knowledge and insight into issues currently confronting the field. Emphasis will be upon independent inquiry, individual presentations of subject matter, and group discussions related to assigned readings and the selected readings of participants.Prerequisites: Consent of the Advisor and Instructor.Credit, three hours.
