This workshop investigates the nature of mathematics, the contribution of different cultures toward the development of mathematics, and the role of mathematics across cultures and societies. It is also a study of how various cultures understand and use mathematics. Participants will gain sufficient understanding of Ethnomathematics to be able to create classroom projects in multicultural mathematics. The workshop is intended for middle and high school teachers of mathematics.
