This course assists elementary and secondary instructors in the analysis of the latest research, information, and techniques for dealing with family and social issues as they affect their students. Areas of emphasis will include parenting, multi-faceted family structures (single, divorced, stepparents, and blended families), peer relationships, and stresses on students. Updated information will be available on sex drugs, alcohol, and abuse.
