An examination of related research, learning theory, and the wisdom of practice for middle level education. Emphasis will be on participants learning through experience and activities which have practical application for their own individual educational environment. Workshop focus will be active learning and reflection. Evaluation will be performance-based. Interdisciplinary teaching, scheduling, performance assessment, student advising, developmental issues, multiple intelligence, motivation, diversity, inclusion, classroom management, and parental involvement will be addressed. Recommended for 6-9 educators.
