Introduces students to the theory, research, and application of workplace wellness concepts and the impact that programming may have on employee health and productivity, healthcare costs, and the economy. This course explores workplace culture, employee diversity, health literacy and disparities along with the challenge of workplace size. Students gain field experience in an approved workplace setting and examine effective program planning, implementation, and evaluation. In addition, they design an integrated Workplace Wellness Program. This course is restricted to students enrolled in the Wellness and Health Promotion AAS program. Prerequisite: WHP 101 with a grade of C or higher.
