This course focuses on the in-depth analysis of a problem, theme, concept, theory, and/or historical aspect of a one or more literary genres otherwise not covered by an existing course. Content will vary according to instructor. Some topics might include theories of literary genre, the institutional history of literary genres, hybrid genres in the digital age, etc. Students will write at least one paper. This course satisfies the requirement for a course in Genre. This course is not available for graduate credit.
