This course includes the study of, and practical experience in, the procedures and measurements that comprise the preliminary testing for a comprehensive eye and vision examination. Students will learn how to obtain a patient's case history and blood pressure and how to measure visual acuity, color vision, pupil evaluation, and debth perception. Students will learn the use of automatic equipment and how to provide ophthalmic chair-side assisting.
