This experiential learning course seeks to connect students to Latinx communities and organizations in contexts where Spanish language proficiency is needed to serve the healthcare and wellbeing needs of community members whose dominant language is Spanish. Direct contact with such organizations and communities will strengthen students' language and cross-cultural skills, as well as their understanding of cultural and social aspects of health and healthcare relevant to the communities they serve. PREREQ: SPAN315 and one of SPAN3xx or 4xx (3 cr).
