Description:
This course will provide an introduction to computer technology and concepts. Instruction is provided on the various uses of the computer and covers key applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation applications. In addition, Computer Literacy basics such as managing email and contacts, searching for a topic online, and how computers affect every day life are addressed. The course also provides instruction in how to use the various technology tools available to students at Goldey-Beacom such as the College's Blackboard system, College e-mail, and how to get connected online via the College's wireless network. College preparatory course which is completed prior to beginning degree course work.
