Students will work on a specific research project under the direction of a faculty member. Student involvement will depend on the student's preparation and interest. Completion of the course will require a paper (using supporting scientific sources, in APA style) related to the research problem. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Apply the major concepts, theoretical perspectives, and historical trends in psychology to research design. 2. Apply basic research methods in psychology, including research design, data analysis, and interpretation. 3. Apply the scientific approach to solve problems related to behavior and mental processes. 4. Describe how psychological principles to personal, social, and organizational issues.
