This course will engage in a research project through which students will analyze select aspects of firms comprising the DOW Industrials and S&P 100 through four widely used valuation models (DCF/DG, DCF/KVD, APV, and Econ Profit) in an effort to identify and understand the relationship between calculated values and market values. Students will gain an intense and practical understanding of the following: oValuation models, how they're used, and how to interpret outcomes oAdvanced MS Excel functions oFactSet - a database housed in the CFA oStatistical package functions (STATA) oWikipedia submission Students will prepare and submit a Wikipedia page with respect to the models, their use in the project, and project outcomes College wide learning goals: oCritical, analytical, and integrative thinking oLeadership, collaboration, and teamwork oWriting and other Communication skills
