Includes the study of local politics, geography, demography, and economics applied to selected public policy issues such as redevelopment, sprawl, the environment, poverty, public safety, and education. The course includes instruction in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and use of GIS skills in an analytical mapping project serving the needs of one or more community partners.
