Prerequisite: HES 211/311, reserved for Health and Exercise Science majors This course is designed to provide students with an advanced understanding of functional changes in the human body throughout the lifespan as well as pathological process underlying various chronic diseases. Students will be given the opportunity to develop safe and appropriate exercise programs for special populations including children, elderly, and pregnant women as well as those with cardiorespiratory, metabolic, musculoskeletal, and neuromuscular conditions.
