This sequence is an introduction to spoken and written French, emphasizing the skills of comprehension and speaking, complemented by practice in reading and writing. Language laboratory is required. Oral Proficiency Class is required. Students are urged to complete FRE 101, 102, and 103 in consecutive semesters. Students with four or more years of high school study in French will not receive credit for 101.
