An introductory study of modern biology in which those aspects of biotechnology that affect the welfare of humanity are emphasized. This course is recommended for non-science majors who wish to take only one biology course for partial fulfillment of the General Education Requirements in Natural Science. Not open to students who have received credit for BIO 151 or 171. Prerequisite: MATH 110 or placement higher than MATH 110 on the math placement examination.
