Techniques of inorganic synthesis and physical measurement on these and other chemical systems. Includes handling of air-sensitive materials, bubble-cap fractional distillation, kinetics, spectroscopy, and thermochemistry. Three hours laboratory per week per credit hour. Lab fee $40. Taught concurrently with CHM 312. Fall semester. Prerequisite: CHM 232. Pre or Corequisite: CHM 307.
