Description:
This course provides the future teacher with preparation for teaching in the content area of science for grades 4-8. A variety of strategies, assessments and philosophies for teaching will be explored. Inquiry-based science is an important focus of the course as well as the integration of science into other content areas. A major component of this course is field experience which includes some teaching of lessons. Lab fee $65. Prerequisites: PSY 211 and requirements mandated by Chapter 354. This course must be successfully completed before student teaching. Fall semester.
