This course is designed to reinforce basic anatomical and physiological principles related to athletic performance. The focus of this class will include: structural kinesiology specifically function of muscles, bones, and joints of the human body in relation to sport performance, development and growth of athletes across the lifespan, biochemical analysis of sport in relation to performance and injury prevention, and evaluation and treatment techniques for common injuries associated with sport.
