An introduction to Costume Design that focuses on the storytelling aspects of Costume Design and Scenography. Students will understand the function and skill of a costume designer learn basic costume design skills and practice concept development and visual communication skills. Prerequisites: PROD 124. Course Objectives Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to: (1) Implement the elements and principles of design. (2) Develop basic design concepts. (3) Break down and analyze a script for design work. (4) Create renderings quickly and accurately. (5) Research a period effectively.
