This course is a continuation of MOD 311 providing skills that develop articulation and dynamic play as related to movement phrasing. Strength, stamina, and quick response to aural and rhythmic variables are refined. Performance skills are further developed. Prerequisite: MOD 221. Course Objectives Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to: (1) Build on intermediate level skills that stabilize and organize the body while moving and shifting weight. (2) Build on movement skills at the intermediate level and be capable of combining and reorganizing them in an articulate and organized fashion. (3) Anticipate movement outcome in combination work with intermediate-level accuracy. (4) Execute exercises and movement combinations with intermediate-level musical acuity. (5) Demonstrate improved performance skills and expressiveness while dancing. (6) Organize and implement methods for self-evaluation. (7) Critically evaluate class work and the work of others.
