This class puts in focus everything a student has learned for technical theatre and shows the student how to merge all the processes together. Participants will learn how to supervise workers, estimate and budget shows, create a plan of execution for creating a set and keeping records of the production. Prerequisites: PROD 313. Course Objectives Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to: (1) Maintain a safe, healthy work environment for all individuals interacting with the scenic components of a show. (2) Adjust designer drawings for maximum efficiency during a show build while maintaining the design aesthetic. (3) Track the show budget, allocation of manpower and day-to-day build schedule. (4) Create a schedule for the build, load-in and strike of a show. (5) Identify the variables involved in setting a production calendar and develop ways of addressing each variable.
