This senior level theory/clinical course focuses on the professional nursing care and management of adults experiencing acute, complex, multisystem health alterations specific to cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological and renal systems. This course builds on previous knowledge and experiences learned in Nursing Care of Adults I and II. Emphasis is placed on the expansion of both critical thinking and clinical reasoning utilizing the nursing process in the patient-centered care of adults experiencing high-risk and/or complex health problems. The clinical practice component of this course occurs in high-acuity care environments
