This is an introduction to the legal and ethical issues of the professional practice of massage therapy including the role of the practitioner, relationships with other health care providers, privacy and confidentiality. Other topics to be included are liability, malpractice, and negligence. This course is designed to provide information about legal and ethical research topics and new developments in Massage Therapy. Acceptance into the Massage Therapy program is required to take this course.
