Description:
Students practice advanced helping techniques including Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, Addiction Counselor competencies and the twelve core functions of addictions counseling, and Mindfulness practice. Case Management skills in resource coordination and advanced ethical decision-making skills are acquired. Acceptance into the Human Services program is required to take this course. In order to successfully pass this course, student must achieve a grade of "C" or better.
