Introduces the practical nursing student to the basic knowledge and skills needed to function in the psychiatric setting. Mental health concepts are related to the care of persons in various clinical settings. Simulated experiences provide practice in communication skills. In order to successfully pass this course, student must achieve a grade of "C" or better. Acceptance into one of the Nursing programs is required to take this course.
