Description:
Students will identify safety factors with food storage along with assisting patients to make wise decisions in menu selection. Cultural dietary preferences will also be discussed that relate to food and preparation. The role of therapeutic diets will be discussed, along with dietary requirements and limitations for a variety of diagnostic tests. In order to successfully pass this course, student must achieve a grade of "C" or better, along with meeting the academic standards of the college.
