Material will be drawn from the ancient and medieval world, the Renaissance, and modern and contemporary thought. Topics include the nature of justice, equality, liberty, rights, and political obligation. Among the theories covered are conservatism and neo-conservatism, classical liberalism, libertarianism, socialism, and other current political theories.
