Emphasis is on the roles of health professionals, functions of the hospital health information department, content and analysis of health records in a variety of healthcare settings, storage and retrieval of health information, health data quality, and common registries. Prerequisites: BIO 100 and BIO 110 and (Test scores or ENG 101 or higher) and (DAT 101 or DAT 101 concurrent) or (OAT 152 or OAT 152 or concurrent)
