Description: This course provides overview of threat/risk assessment, crowd management, crisis management, and emergency planning in sport facilities and events. In addition, this course is designed to introduce the student to the legal principles applicable to a variety of sport settings. The topic of tort liability will be explored in depth with special emphasis on the effective management of risk. Prerequisite: SPMA, EXSC, ATRN, or PETE Major, Grade of C- or better in SPMA 101, EXSC 101, or ATRN 151, Cumulative GPA of 2.5. Notes: Offered in fall.
