This course will introduce students to anatomical and physiological properties of the nervous system with special emphasis on the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). Neuroscience topics to be covered will include molecular function, development, disease states, and research techniques. Laboratories will focus on neural anatomy as well as relevant sensory, developmental, molecular, and related nervous system processes.
