This course is an introduction to hematology and microbiology for the veterinary technician. Hematology lectures and labs stress identification of blood components in various species of domestic animals and routine diagnostic blood tests. Microbiology lectures and labs stress microorganism classification, life cycles, disease, immunity, sterilization, staining and cultivating techniques. Prerequisite: VET 109; Corequisite: VET 110
