This course includes the holistic, evidence-based nursing care across the life span for individuals with alterations in skin integrity, nutrition, and carbohydrate metabolism, cardiovascular function, and cell integrity. The human responses to these disorders are explored with the appropriate nursing intervention, including pharmacology. Health promotion is a major focus. Clinical experiences provide an opportunity to apply evidence-based therapies, nursing care and teaching with patients with complex needs and to practice with many members of the interdisciplinary team. Prerequisites: NUR 101, 103, 104, 212, 203, 204.
