This course is designed to give students in the non-science fields an appreciation for and experience in using problem-solving techniques and logical reasoning skills to solve real world applications. The goal of the course is to foster an understanding of mathematics and encourage students to use math more in their everyday lives, as well as to foster development of number sense and critical thinking skills. NOTE: This course is not designed to be transferable as a math course. Any student considering transfer should consult with his/her advisor before taking this course.
