Description:

Students will be introduced to laboratory methods in manual and automated specimen testing, quality control, and use of universal precautions in the clinical setting. Each lab session will focus on a particular area of the clinical laboratory and will include chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology and serology. A tour of a working hospital lab is included in the coursework. Co-requisite: MLS 101
